Keith in Gaza Tue, 20 Nov 2012 19:55

I am in Gaza. For around the last four hours the shelling from the sea has stepped up and the bombs are bigger …

It has got constant. Blasts coming at us from every direction. I am sat with some experienced war journalists and they say this is very bad. We are expecting it to go on through the night.

The smell of burning buildings is everywhere. Al Shifa hospital had a huge hit right outside on the road used by Ambulances. The hospital itself is extremely busy. Lots of phosphorous injuries on kids.

I have been around Palestine quite a bit but never ever could I have imagined this – a tiny strip of land and it is coming at us none stop. It really is constant. We are expecting it to go on all through the night.

Bye for now,

K
