Last night was the worst yet. Even areas that were not directly hit have windows blown out and bits of buildings made unsafe.

This is a tiny strip of land. People on the move – not usual for Palestinians but there is nowhere for families to go. UN schools have been opened.

Yet the people here are strong, resilient. Always ready to get on with life.

The shelling started early. No doubt a message about power to the Palestinian team of negotiators. Then the bombing became horrendous. Some very heavy duty bombs. Incredible craters everywhere.

The background to this hell is drones. A strange blur that makes these circles in the sky.

We hope to get stuck into meetings on building lifelong learning as soon as we get a chance. Hopefully this will be soon …

In the mean time people carry on. Few are intimidated … Palestinians have learned that the future will be theirs …

Politics through bombs and drones is not acceptable.
